This single-mode patchcord is 15 meters long, has a diameter of 3 mm , and is terminated with SC/UPC-SC/APC connectors. It is used for connecting optical network equipment such as switches or converters. Patchcords are also widely used in FTTH networks to connect OLT and ONU/ONT type devices. These cables have a LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) material classification, which means that their sheath is made of such thermoplastic or thermosetting compounds, which under the influence of high temperatures emit only a limited amount of smoke and do not emit halogen .
